Mae rhai’n dysgu pethau sydd ddim yn wir, ac sy’n hollol groes i beth ddysgodd ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist – sut mae byw fel mae Duw am i ni fyw. Mae’n amlwg fod person felly yn llawn ohono’i hun ond yn deall dim byd mewn gwirionedd. Mae’n amlwg fod ganddo obsesiwn afiach am godi dadl a hollti blew am ystyr geiriau. Mae’n arwain i genfigen a ffraeo, enllibio, a phobl yn bod yn amheus o’i gilydd. Mae’n achosi dadleuon diddiwedd. Mae meddyliau pobl felly wedi’u llygru. Maen nhw wedi colli gafael yn beth sy’n wir. Dydy byw’n dduwiol yn ddim byd ond ffordd o wneud arian yn eu golwg nhw. Ond mae byw’n dduwiol yn cyfoethogi bywyd go iawn pan dŷn ni’n fodlon gyda beth sydd gynnon ni yn faterol. Doedd gynnon ni ddim pan gawson ni ein geni, a fyddwn ni’n gallu mynd â dim byd gyda ni pan fyddwn ni farw. Felly os oes gynnon ni fwyd a dillad, gadewch i ni fod yn fodlon gyda hynny. Mae pobl sydd eisiau bod yn gyfoethog yn syrthio i demtasiwn ac yn cael eu trapio gan chwantau ffôl a niweidiol sy’n difetha ac yn dinistrio’u bywydau. Mae ariangarwch wrth wraidd pob math o ddrygioni. Ac mae rhai pobl, yn eu hawydd i wneud arian, wedi crwydro oddi wrth y ffydd, ac achosi pob math o loes a galar iddyn nhw’u hunain.

Os bydd rhywun yn dysgu'n groes i hyn, ac yn gwrthod glynu wrth eiriau iachusol, geiriau ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist, ac wrth athrawiaeth sy'n gyson â bywyd duwiol, y mae hwnnw'n llawn balchder, heb ddeall dim, ag awydd afiach ynddo i godi cwestiynau a dadlau am eiriau. Cenfigen a chynnen ac enllib, a drwgdybio cywilyddus ac anghydweld parhaus, sy'n dod o bethau felly, mewn pobl sydd â'u meddyliau wedi eu llygru ac sydd wedi eu hamddifadu o'r gwirionedd, rhai sy'n tybio mai modd i ennill cyfoeth yw bywyd duwiol. Ac wrth gwrs, y mae cyfoeth mawr mewn bywyd duwiol ynghyd â bodlonrwydd mewnol. A'r ffaith yw, na ddaethom â dim i'r byd, ac felly hefyd na allwn fynd â dim allan ohono. Os oes gennym fwyd a dillad, gadewch inni fodloni ar hynny. Y mae'r rhai sydd am fod yn gyfoethog yn syrthio i demtasiynau a maglau, a llu o chwantau direswm a niweidiol, sy'n hyrddio pobl i lawr i ddistryw a cholledigaeth. Oherwydd gwraidd pob math o ddrwg yw cariad at arian, ac wrth geisio cael gafael ynddo crwydrodd rhai oddi wrth y ffydd, a'u trywanu eu hunain ag arteithiau lawer.

Od oes neb yn dysgu yn amgenach, ac heb gytuno ag iachus eiriau ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist, ac â’r athrawiaeth sydd yn ôl duwioldeb; Chwyddo y mae, heb wybod dim, eithr amhwyllo ynghylch cwestiynau, ac ymryson ynghylch geiriau; o’r rhai y mae cenfigen, ymryson, cableddau, drwg dybiau, yn dyfod, Cyndyn ddadlau dynion llygredig eu meddwl, heb fod y gwirionedd ganddynt, yn tybied mai elw yw duwioldeb: cilia oddi wrth y cyfryw. Ond elw mawr yw duwioldeb gyda bodlonrwydd. Canys ni ddygasom ni ddim i’r byd, ac eglur yw na allwn ddwyn dim allan chwaith. Ac o bydd gennym ymborth a dillad, ymfodlonwn ar hynny. Ond y rhai sydd yn ewyllysio ymgyfoethogi, sydd yn syrthio i brofedigaeth a magl, a llawer o chwantau ynfyd a niweidiol, y rhai sydd yn boddi dynion i ddinistr a cholledigaeth. Canys gwreiddyn pob drwg yw ariangarwch: yr hon, a rhai yn chwannog iddi, hwy a gyfeiliornasant oddi wrth y ffydd, ac a’u gwanasant eu hunain â llawer o ofidiau.
