I Want To Know More Of ChristUkázka

My heart is broken that the Lord of the universe (my beloved Lord Jesus Christ) could be considered a worm and not a man, and be scorned by men and despised by people. What a contrast it is that the One Who is the great “I AM” could be compared to a helpless, passive worm that is without strength, protection or relative value to us. Truly, this is a heart- wrenching, but accurate, portrayal of Christ when His body and soul suffered so tragically during His trial and crucifixion. Oh, how totally the Savior emptied Himself of all glory, and was willing to become of no reputation for our sakes!

The gratitude I am able to express to Jesus for His willingness to become despised by the people will never be adequate; but, with all my heart I thank Him, love Him and honor Him. I pray You will continually remind me and all others who have received Him as our Savior, of every part of His life that caused Him to be despised by the people.

Please help us to love Him so much, and be devoted to Him so much, that we would also be willing to be despised by others for His glory. I pray these things in the precious name of Jesus.
