Jesus is God

One of the greatest Acts of God in all human history was His decision to take on flesh and live as one of us. In a beautiful demonstration of Love, Jesus came down from Heaven and chose to live among the very people He created. In Jesus, we see the fullness of God revealed because Jesus is God.

We see the Love of God on full display as Christ took it upon Himself to leave His riches and Glory in Heaven to live and die for the people He made in His Image. Jesus is the Evidence that God loves us because Jesus, who is God, lived a life of Love for His people.

Jesus is not just a good man, a teacher, a prophet, or a person. He is God in the flesh. John 1:1 tells us that from the beginning, Jesus is God. This distinguishes Jesus from every other prophet and human being. Jesus was not just a messenger of God, but rather God Himself. Jesus came to live a Perfect Life, die on the Cross as a Perfect Sacrifice, and then rise again on the third day.

Because Jesus is God, we know that His one-time Sacrifice on the Cross was sufficient to pay for our sins and overcome sin and death entirely. The Life of Jesus is one of the Greatest Demonstrations of God’s Deep and Profound Love for His people. He left Heaven, came down to Earth, and now desires to bring us back up to Heaven with Him.
