Love God Greatly - You Are Lovedنموونە
We are to love our neighbors as ourselves. The verse does not tell us how to love ourselves, it assumes we already love ourselves and tells us to love others the same way. To some extent we all love ourselves - we take care of ourselves and think for our needs, we do what is best for us and we seek the things that will benefit us the most. We know how to love ourselves. The call is to extend that same love to others - take care of them, think for their needs above your own, do what’s best for someone else and seek the things that will benefit them.
This is all to be done because He is the Lord and we are to glorify Him. Maybe it’s your husband or your children, maybe a parent or sibling, maybe a co-worker or a friend - who do you need to love like you love yourself?
