God’s Intense Love

A young staffer in the Presidential Advance office, I arrived at work at 8:00 a.m. An hour later, Secret Service told me to run for my life. Fighting fear and terror as I ran from the White House on September 11, 2001, Hebrews 13:8 came to my mind. I fought the urge to return home to California, because I felt I was in my position “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14).

The same God who delivered the Israelites through the Red Sea, and the same God who gave His Son as a loving sacrifice, is the same God who knows and deeply cares for each of us, loving us intimately and intensely. He desires for us to come into His ultimate plan and purpose for our lives. He is trustworthy and remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.
