Grief Bites: Finding Treasure In Hardshipsنموونە
One of the toughest life losses to experience is rejection.
Rejection can be very painful...we all want to be loved and accepted...yet, that doesn't always happen. Many times, it isn't even a person's fault if they are rejected.
• Spouses choose to leave or reject their mate
• Parents choose to reject or abandon their children
• A parent makes it impossible for a child to please them so the child never receives their parent's blessing
• Parents and their children, and families, choose to mistreat each other
• Stepparents choose to reject or mistreat their stepchildren
• Stepchildren choose to reject or mistreat their stepparents
• In-laws choose to reject or mistreat their son or daughter-in-law
• Son-in-laws or daughter-in-laws choose to reject or mistreat their spouse's parents
• Families go through deep rejection and conflict...some after the death of a family member
• Bosses/coworkers choose to reject someone in their office
• At school, kids are rejected or mistreated by their peers
• Even at church, some are rejected or mistreated by others
We live in a broken world of broken relationships. Sadly, rejection and abandonment are common. It shouldn't be but it is.
When rejection or abandonment takes place, it pierces our heart in a way we have never felt before. It can be easy to allow an event of rejection or abandonment to permanently define us...it can make us feel as though we are inferior...broken...unlovable...damaged.
Please realize you are a treasure...God made you and planned for you!
You are NOT inferior...you can be whole--God wants to make you whole...you are lovable, valuable, and loved!
If you have been rejected or abandoned, I highly encourage you to take a moment to pour your deepest heartaches out to God...to draw close to God and enjoy His love.
Use this special time to grow closer to God and allow Him to pour into your heart...Ask Him to reveal His plan and goals for your life. God has a HUGE heart for anyone who has been rejected or abandoned. In fact, He has many scripture verses about it in His Word. When people reject you...they are ultimately rejecting the One who created you.
God will NEVER leave you or abandon you...and His heart absolutely broke when someone chose to leave, abandon, mistreat, or reject you.
You are in God's great heart. He is a safe haven you can trust. He loves and adores you greatly!
People who have been deeply hurt have an incredible ability to unconditionally love others. They have a compassion that is stronger than most.
God can take your life experiences...and hurts...and make them into something of great value for His Kingdom.
Ask God to heal your heart and your hurts. Ask Him to work in your life, reveal His plans for you, and to make His love come to life in you.
You have great worth, great value, and a great purpose. Please never doubt that.
You are God's child...chosen by Him.
Build your identity not from what others think about you but build your identity and life on what God says about you. Read Psalm 139 today to realize just how wonderful you truly are!
