Worshipping offers us fresh insight

Lord, please open the eyes of my heart today to know the hope to which you have called me and the glorious plans you have for all creation.

The eyes through which we view our everyday lives are shaped by many things: upbringing and background, education, life history, the media we engage with, the culture of the place where we live, to name but a few. This way of seeing has become our default setting and we need the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of our heart to see as God sees.
