Jesus, I Need You Part 6نموونە
QUIET MOMENT
Love those who hate us?! How are we to do that? We don’t think like God thinks! How do we respond to those who are our enemies? What do you feel like doing or tend to do? What does Jesus say we are to do?
GOING DEEPER
Finish reading the Sermon on the Mount. Pray first, asking the Lord to help you hear His words and take them to heart. Note what Jesus says about each topic. Then note if you struggle with it. If so, where and how?
Matthew 7:1-6
Matthew 7:7-11
Matthew 7:12
Matthew 7:13-14
Matthew 7:15-23
Matthew 7:24-29
In this sermon, Jesus gives some pretty strict commands and standards – which one is the most surprising or shocking to you?
Read the remainder of the Sermon on the Plain, Luke 6:37-49. What does Jesus emphasize at the end? Where are you building?
REFLECTION AND PRAYER
Go to the Lord in prayer. Praise Him first and then confess the sin the Lord revealed to you today. Thank Him and then ask Him for help, for grace, and for His power and love to overcome. Ask Him to open your heart to receive His truths.
TAKING THE TRUTH TO HEART AND BRINGING IT TO LIFE
Choose one truth from today and apply it to your heart. Take it with you throughout the day.
About this Plan
It’s important to know Jesus and what is important to Him so we understand our need for Him. Reflecting on what Jesus taught in the Sermon on the Mount, will help us draw closer to Him. This is part six of eight in the "Jesus, I Need You" series by Thistlebend Ministries. These plans can be done in any order. See also" Jesus, I Need You" (companion prayer).
