Price Paid: Redemption means "to buy back." Because we're sinners - people who reject God's Word and will and substitute sin where God should be - we owed God a debt. Just like a convicted criminal owes a debt to society, we owed a debt to God. Jesus came and gave His life blood in payment for the debt we owed God. He "bought us back"! Aren't you glad to be redeemed by His grace!
