Children's Guide to Esther and God's Planنموونە
Day 3: Esther is Chosen!
Mordecai was very worried for Esther. You see, Esther and Mordecai were Jews, and there were some nobles in Persia who didn't like Jews. So before Esther left, Mordecai warned her, "Don't tell anybody that you're a Jew!"
Esther was very careful and didn't tell anyone that she was a Jew. The King's servants liked Esther, so they took special care of her. They gave her the best food to eat and the nicest room to stay in.
God was watching over Esther! How does God watch over you when you need help?
Esther had to wait for one whole year to see King Xerxes. Every day her servants combed her hair and sprinkled perfume on her. Finally, the King's servants said, “Tomorrow it’s your turn to meet the King!”
When King Xerxes saw how beautiful Esther was, he put a crown on her head and said, “You will be my Queen!”
How do you think Esther felt while she was waiting to see the King? Could you wait for one whole year? Why do you think God helped Esther become Queen of Persia? What plans does God have for you?
