A Minute For Mommy

DAY 18 OF 31

I Know Where You Are

Caleb loves to come into our room in the middle of the night. Sometimes he feels sick. Sometimes he is scared. Sometimes he is lonely and needs someone (usually me) to hold him. When he was younger, he would yell for me to come and get him, but now, no matter the time or how dark it is, he makes his way to my room on his own. Caleb has made the familiar trip so many times that he doesn't even need to turn on a light to direct his path. He knows exactly where he needs to go for comfort, protection, and love, and he knows exactly how to get there. He has complete trust and faith that when he arrives, he will be accepted. And, of course, he is.

Isn't this a wonderful example of how God wants us to seek him? Just as Caleb trusts in me, God wants his children to trust and have faith in him. He wants us to run without hesitation to his side when we need guidance, love, and support. God wants us to know that he will always accept us.

Do you know where to find God? Do you fully trust in him and his promises? Do you turn to him for peace, or do you stay where you are alone and afraid? Are you spending time in prayer and do you read his precious Word? Can you run safely into his arms with the lights off, or do you get lost along the way? How well do you really know God?
God loves you and knows you better than anyone else in this world. Let me encourage you to take time today to really seek him and know him more. I hope you will reach out to our precious Lord more often and more passionately than ever before.
