In the biblical view, part of the gift of children is that they provide the family with economic support and help with daily tasks.

Verses 1 and 2 help us acknowledge that human efforts are useless apart from God’s help. In what ways do you demonstrate your dependence on God? In what ways does your community of faith celebrate the blessing of children? For what will you thank God today?

Pray

Faithful God, you are the source of all blessings. I can do nothing without you. How thankful I am that you alone are God; I place my trust in you and stand on your holy Word. Amen.
