The Shepherd Who Guides

"The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide, and to shield me], I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1, AMP).

Friend, have you ever felt lost, unsure of which direction to take? I know that feeling all too well. I often go through situations where I feel completely lost about the direction of my life. I share with my wife, hoping she will give me direction, but I feel no peace in my heart. I then spend time in the Presence of God, and in that moment, I remember that the Lord, my Shepherd, is not just a Provider—He’s also a Guide.

God doesn’t leave us to wander aimlessly. He leads us, step by step, even when the path seems unclear. His Guidance may not always come with a loud voice or dramatic signs, but it’s always there, in the quiet moments of prayer and reflection. I’ve learned that trusting God’s Guidance means taking one step at a time, even when the whole picture isn’t clear yet.

Friend, I encourage you about times when you are uncertain about a decision or direction. Ask the Good Shepherd to guide you in that season and learn to trust Him, even when you can’t see.

Lord, thank You for being my Guide. Help me to trust You with every step, even when I don’t know where the journey leads. Lead me in Your Ways and help me to listen for Your Voice. Amen.
