Living a Significant Lifeنموونە

My wedding day was full of moments that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.

One moment, in particular, taught me so much about my value as a child of God. It started when the pastor presented me with a special gift—a necklace with a heart-shaped gold pendant. But what made this gift truly extraordinary was the story behind it. It had once belonged to Jennifer Lopez, a pop star icon. The necklace was nice, but it was its previous celebrity owner that boosted the value in my star-struck economy.

Similarly, our value as human beings is not determined by our achievements or possessions. The real value is based on a different economy. It’s determined by something (or rather SOMEONE) far greater. You're valuable because God said you are. He placed the price tag. And He paid the bill.

In Christ Jesus, we belong to God—the King of all kings. You have been adopted into His family, not because you accomplished great things or earned your way past your mistakes, but because HE lavished His love on you. He paid the price for your sin. He redeemed your life from its dead-end destination and set your future securely with victory, purpose, and significance. You are a child of God!

Just as the necklace's value had elevated because of its pop-star pedigree, your worth is fixed to who you are in God’s family. You are cherished, treasured, and loved beyond measure by the One who created you. Your value is not contingent on what you accomplish or how others perceive you. You are a rare and precious workmanship in the hands of Almighty God.

Today, I invite you to embrace your identity as a child of the King. You no longer have to be defined by the world's standards or fleeting accomplishments. God's love has called you His own. You have intrinsic, unalterable worth–not tarnished by past mistakes or present struggles. Your price tag is tethered to the extravagant love of the Father.

Knowing that we are children of God changes everything. It gives us a sense of purpose and security, reminding us constantly that we are never alone. We can face life's challenges with confidence, knowing that the King of Kings stands by our side, guiding and covering us.

So, release the pressure to prove your worth to the world. Bask in the assurance that you are greatly loved by the Creator of the universe. Your worthiness is etched into the very fabric of your being, and it remains unshakable.
