What Makes a Good Person?نموونە

Faith as a foundation under your life
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).
“And without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6).
When we think about living to God's glory or how to be a good person, we must start with faith. That is the foundation under our lives. Faith is trusting God and believing the truths He has revealed to us. This is necessary in order to have a relationship with Him. After all, if you do not trust the Lord God on His Word, you cannot fully entrust yourself to Him. And if you do not believe that He really exists, why would you obey His commandments?
Faith in God determines your worldview. To quote an example from Hebrews 11:3, “By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God.” This belief colors your perception of the world around you and your own place in it.
Believing in God can also have great social consequences. Perhaps you are disadvantaged or even persecuted because of your religious beliefs. Then it can be very difficult to persevere and stand up for your faith! Yet that is what Jesus asks of us. He also adds a promise. “Everyone who acknowledges Me before men, I also will acknowledge before My Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32).
What are your deepest convictions? What are you building your life on? What helps you in the face of opposition or setbacks?

Every person has certain character traits that he or she is born with. That makes us all unique. However, we can also consciously choose to develop certain virtues. These help us to live according to God's will and contribute to the well-being of others. The Bible gives us some valuable guidance in this regard.
