But then something happened!
What an amazing description of Christian salvation: a free gift mercifully given to us with love and kindness and there’s nothing that we’ve done, or need to do, to earn it anyway.
How and when this salvation is accepted is as unique as our fingerprints. For some it is in an instant. For others (for most I feel) it is a longer process before we are finally ready to receive it.
The first few words of this scripture – ‘But then something happened’ – indicate to me, that although the understanding of what salvation is can be a process that may take a length of time, there is that pivotal moment. A single point in time when the acceptance of this amazing gift take place. Like walking through a door that’s in front of us or stepping over a line to be made ‘completely new’.
By all means think about, dwell on, investigate and ponder as much as you need about God’s salvation. But my prayer is, if you have not done so already, there will soon be a time when you need to let go of all of that and just accept it. When will it be your moment in time for that awesome, powerful, love-filled, life-changing ‘something’ to happen to you. Today?

The dictionary defines Salvation as ‘preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin or loss.’ Salvation is not something we can achieve on our own, and this Bible plan will encourage you to put your trust in the only One who can bring salvation to your life – Jesus Christ. So come as you are and receive the gift that was purchased for you!
