People aren't as closed off as you think

Most people are more open to talking about faith, religion, or God than we might expect. However, if you remain silent, you'll be left with a multitude of negative conversations in your head. Often, our minds create dozens of frightening scenarios about how people might react to conversations about faith. But the reality is that almost none of these scenarios come to pass. On the contrary, people often react positively to good, pleasant conversations.

If you try to talk more about Christ, you’ll likely find that people are much kinder and more willing to engage in conversation than we sometimes think

As you reflect on everything you’ve read over the past five days, consider this: the Lord is the most important part of your life, so strive to focus more on His Word, filling your heart with His goodness and light. Share your fears with Jesus, and ask your friends to pray for you. Reframe your fears by understanding what usually happens in reality, and learn to respond appropriately, trusting in God.

Reflect: Reflect on everything you’ve learned over the past five days. How can these insights help you begin sharing your faith with others?
Act: Try to start a conversation about faith in a group where you feel comfortable. You don’t have to share your own experiences immediately; you could begin with a general discussion about faith. This can be a good way to get accustomed to talking about faith in a relaxed setting.

Father God, I pray that You would go before me, preparing the hearts of those I may come into contact with, that they may be open-minded and willing to hear about Your Good News. I pray for the confidence to open up and have conversations that may seem daunting. Lord, I thank You that even when I feel scared, You are right beside me, and I can rely on You to guide me in a direction that is fruitful and may lead others to know You. Amen.
