As you read the psalms in this section, keep asking
- what does this teach us about the life of discipleship?
- what does this show us about the king in David’s line?
Psalm to focus on: Psalm 34
Notice how in this Psalm David speaks of his own experience, and then says that the experience of all God’s people will be the same. Even though David is the king, his experience is not unique. David presents himself as someone to learn from.
As you read Ps 34, notice how David says things about himself, and then tells the people to expect the same thing (e.g. v6, 17).
NOTE: Days 1-5 of each week contain the scripture reading for that week. Day 6 has just the 'key chapters'. If you want a briefer version of this plan that still takes you through the whole Bible, you could just read the key chapters featured on day 6. Day 7 has the podcast video where we discuss the week's reading.
