Luke documents how, during His final week, Jesus is tested, arrested, tried, crucified, buried, and resurrected. Following numerous appearances, Jesus ascends to Heaven. In his opening prologue, John’s depiction of Christ as the “Word” portrays One who was always with God, eternally of the same substance and nature as God, and was thus inseparably part of the Godhead.
