God Is My Helperنموونە
Day Two:
Hebrews 13:6
"So we say with confidence, 'The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?'"
I will never forget the time I went to my first MA class. The professor gave us a difficult assignment right in the first class and said, "Whoever completes and submits the assignment perfectly by tomorrow will be allowed to stay in my class, and whoever fails will have to go straight home." My heart was filled with fear and anxiety because my friends had laptops, and they could easily use the internet to help them with their assignments. But I had neither a laptop nor the resources to prepare the assignment like them. It felt like everything was against me.
But then I turned to God, prayed, and sat quietly in a corner to calm my heart. I had no help except God. That night, with prayer, I wrote my assignment and left it in God’s hands before going to sleep. The next morning, I went to college, and the class was tense. The professor began checking the assignments. The best student in the class failed her assignment, and the professor said, "You are not fit for this class." One by one, everyone’s assignments were being rejected, and I sat in my seat praying that God would help me. When my turn came, I nervously approached the professor, my hands shaking, but I had faith in Jesus' name. The professor looked at my assignment, flipped through one page, then the second, and then the third. I was holding my breath. Then suddenly, the professor raised my assignment and said, "This is the assignment I was looking for!" Tears filled my eyes because I knew it wasn't my strength but God's help. I was the only student in the class who passed while everyone else failed. The professor said, "She wrote this from her own understanding, while the rest of the class copied from the internet."
Friends, that day, I saw with my own eyes how God helped me, and today I say with complete confidence and boldness: "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid!"
