DAY 14 OF 27

Unity

The devil and the powers of darkness bring confusion and division. This is what the enemy is doing in our time as well. In fact he has always done so.

However, in the days of the Messiah, those divisions will be removed and healed. Then all the lost tribes of Israel will return. Then the old rivalry between Judah and the other tribes, which we see in biblical history, will also disappear. And if you look closely, you will see that God is already on the move. Not only are the Jews returning from the diaspora, but Judah and Samaria are uniting.

The divisions in creation will also be healed. The wolf will live with the lamb, Isaiah prophesies, and the cow and the bear will graze together. But division will also disappear in our own lives, in our own hearts. In God’s Kingdom, we will be so full of the spirit of Christ that we will serve and love God with a perfect heart. The love for one another will then be incredibly beautiful (see 1 Corinthians 13: 8-13)

Prayer:
We give thanks to God that we are witnesses of the fact that He is now gathering the children of Israel from around the world. And we pray that our hearts and minds will be filled more and more with the Spirit of Christ. May we be prepared more and more for the coming of God’s Kingdom.

About this Plan

Advent Scripture Calendar

In this Advent season, it is a meanigful time for us, as Gentile believers in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to ask ourselves: what is our identity? Are we rooted in the whole word of God – including the prophecies of the Old and New Testaments? Are we looking for the coming of the Messiah, the Light of the world (John 8:12), who will reign from Jerusalem 'in the midst of His people Jacob'? Join us for daily reflections this Advent as we prepare our hearts and look forward with anticipation. Author: Rev. Henk Poot, Christians for Israel
