The Mended Rib: A 27-Day Devotional for Men Battling Lust and Infidelityنموونە
Walk in the Spirit
Walking in the Spirit means living with a constant, daily reliance on the Holy Spirit’s guidance and power. When you walk in the Spirit, you’re equipped to resist the desires of the flesh—lust, pride, selfishness. Overcoming lust isn’t simply about willpower; it’s about surrendering to the Holy Spirit. The more you allow Him to guide your thoughts, actions, and decisions, the less space sin has to take root. Walking in the Spirit transforms your heart, aligns your will with God’s, and strengthens you to live a life that truly pleases Him.
For me, walking in the Spirit involves allowing the Holy Spirit to guide every aspect of my life—what I watch, what I say, and even where I go. I make intentional decisions to avoid movies with sexual content, to stay out of conversations that objectify women, and to stay away from places where temptation could arise. These steps may seem extreme to some, but when you’re serious about growing in your faith and honoring your marriage, such boundaries are necessary. This daily surrender to the Spirit protects not only my heart and mind but also my relationship with my wife. By setting these intentional boundaries, I align my life more closely with God’s purpose and walk in greater peace and freedom.
It’s about a lifestyle of constant surrender, allowing the Holy Spirit to help you live in integrity, purity, and strength.
