DAY 2 OF 6

Paid in Full!

The final word of Jesus on the cross was "Tetelestai," meaning "Paid in Full." This powerful term was used when a debt was entirely settled, signifying that nothing more was needed. What Jesus accomplished on the cross was the complete and final payment for our sins. He covered a debt we could never repay on our own.

This moment is one of the most profound declarations of Christ's love for us. He didn’t need us to finish His work, but He included us. There’s nothing we can do to "contribute" or "assist" in paying this debt—it’s already been fully paid by Jesus. He doesn’t require our help but invites us to join His Kingdom out of love.

Consider this: Christ, the King of all creation, doesn’t need us, but He desires us. He calls us to be part of His Kingdom, to be His sons and daughters, to share in fellowship with Him, and to live in the freedom He purchased. The cross granted us this freedom because Jesus paid our debt, and this freedom allows us to live without the weight of guilt.

When Jesus said "Tetelestai," He declared that everything was accomplished. His mission was complete, the price was paid in full, and the way for our reconciliation with God was opened. We are now free, not because we earned it, but because Jesus paid the debt on our behalf.

If everything is already paid in full, how are you embracing that freedom? Do you realize your debt has been completely settled, or are you still trying to bear the burdens of the past? Christ has already paid for everything! There is no longer any condemnation for those who are in Him.
