There's Hope With the Healerنموونە
April 27th, 2011. The day God rescued me, the day when I took a small step toward a place where God would truly change my life for good.
I was sent to a 90-day treatment center at a ranch in the middle of Oklahoma, which didn’t really sound like the kind of place where I’d thrive. I’m not really a RANCH kind of a guy.
Once I arrived, I found myself separated from society and feeling like an outcast, alone, and still addicted both psychologically and physically. I was 28 years old and I was in rehab, the place where they send the worst of the worst, those who can’t stop abusing their bodies or tormenting others.
But it was in that place of hopelessness and despair where I MET JESUS and Jesus began to heal me. The organization I now lead was a long way off (though not as long as I might’ve thought at the time!) and the life I have today was nowhere on the horizon, but the HOPE was already there.
In your lowest moment, if you, like me, will raise your gaze to the mountains, God will send you help. It may not look the way you imagine, but it’ll be help from On High.
When you feel the most alone, remember the words of the psalmist: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those whose spirits have been crushed" (Psalm 34:18).
When you feel like there is nothing to live for or that nothing in your world will ever be good or normal again, remember that God promises He has Plans for your life.
Jesus healed my heart and He healed my will. He completely took away my obsession to destroy my body with drugs.
Jesus healed the insanity in my mind, calmed the paranoid thoughts, shut down the voices, restored what the trauma had stolen, and, most importantly, forgave my sins.
Today I can celebrate over thirteen years clean, sober, and saved. He did it for me and He can do it for you.
Jesus healed me, and there’s always HOPE with the HEALER!

About this Plan
Sometimes hope comes in the form of friends who will tear the roof off a house to get you in front of The Healer. And sometimes it comes in the words The Healer says to you after that. Lance Lang knows the Power of Hope firsthand; here he unpacks some of his story of addiction and recovery to show how there's always Hope with The Healer.
