Elijah is a very famous prophet! Things were not easy for the Israelites - they suffered during a time of many bad kings. Elijah stood up for God against the evil king Ahab and his wife, Jezebel. Jezebel tried to kill all of God's prophets, so Elijah had to hide in the wilderness! God sent ravens to bring him bread. Elijah also proved to the prophets of a fake god, Baal, that their god was not real. Elijah also performed miracles and God worked through him in many ways to bring glory to God!
