The Love That Brings Us Back

DAY 5 OF 6

Sometimes, the feeling of being far from God is almost unbearable. I know what it feels like to be that way—lost, wandering, seeking answers where they don’t exist. Life becomes a series of attempts to fill a void that only seems to grow. I hid in so many things: work, distractions, small escapes from the everyday. All of this made me feel further from home, further from who I am.

But the truth is that God never left me. Even when I strayed, He was there, waiting, with the door open, ready to bring me back. There is something profoundly intimate and comforting in knowing that, despite everything, I have a home. And that home is the heart of God.

Jesus is that door. He calls me to return and invites me to cross the threshold of grace, where there is no judgment, only love. I felt so small before this offer, so unworthy, and at the same time, so desired. It is a love that reaches me even in the darkest moments, gently pulling me out of my confusion to the place where I always belonged.

Today, I want to respond to that call. I want to leave behind the false securities, the refuges that only bring me more emptiness. I want to return to the arms of the Good Shepherd, where I find peace, pasture, and the true joy of living. Coming home is more than a choice—it’s a reunion with who I am in God. I know the door is open, and He is waiting for me. Today, I decided to return.

About this Plan

The Love That Brings Us Back

Even when we stray, the Good Shepherd never gives up on us. He seeks us with love and carries us back on His shoulders, bringing us to the safety of home. Often, we hide in empty places—work, distractions, trivialities—but true joy is found in serving and being with God. The invitation stands: return to the Shepherd's arms and experience the peace of being home once again.
