Build a Relationship With Godنموونە
Don’t be stingy with your words!
Imagine a newly married couple where the wife feels that her husband isn’t expressing his love to her.
Wife: “Honey, do you still love me?”
Husband: “I told you on our wedding day that I love you. If that ever changes, I will let you know. Don’t ask me again!”
Wife: 🤨
The husband’s response would be rude and painful for the wife, right? Communication is key in any relationship! We need to hear expressions of love regularly, and we also need to express our love and appreciation frequently in return.
God desires the same from us even though He already knows what we’re going to say before we speak (Psalm 139:4) - He still wants you to tell Him how much you love Him, over and over again. He can’t get enough of it!
One beautiful way to express your love for God is by listing all that He is to you and all that He has done for you. Psalm 18 provides a perfect example where David pours out his heart in adoration to God and lists all the things he loves about Him:
“I love you, Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold”. (Psalm 18:1-2)
Let’s follow David’s example and make his prayer our own. Complete the following prayer with your expression of who God is to you and what He has done for you:
‘I love you, Lord, my strength. You are my:

You have done these amazing things for me:
