The Art of Courage
We all know women who make everything look easy. They wear a beautiful smile and sound so assured when, in reality, things aren’t as perfect as they seem. Their eyes sparkle with sweet affection as their heart is breaking. Their voice sounds like soft tranquility when inside they are screaming. Their hands gently hold the wheel of life when the road in front of them twists with dangerous turns. Yet, in the midst of the turmoil and struggle, they meet those challenges with bravery and Grace. How do they do it?
They’ve discovered the Art of Courage!
They look beyond themselves to see the bigger Heavenly picture. They give until they are filled with gratitude for what they have. They love as a choice, and not as an emotional response. They forgive and their load is lightened. They wait when everything around them says to jump. They hold their ground knowing that Courage is a matter of spiritual trust and not human strength.
They know they’re not alone. And neither are you!
The Art of Courage never surrenders to timidity, poverty, abuse, or the unknown, just as any artist refuses to create a work they cannot—will not—defend. You, my sister, have a Divine Artist inside of you, so you are courageous and strong as long as Christ lives in you.
Learn the Art of Courage and God’s Sufficient Grace. Be the brave soul who others follow. Embrace the same Power that brings death back to life. Sing in the midst of sorrow. Pray when everyone else gives up. Find the audacity to court tomorrow with all of its fearsome mysteries, and you will have discovered the Art of Courage.

Father God, I see other women make life look so easy when I know that it isn’t. Thank You for giving me supernatural courage to face whatever comes my way. Instill in me a fearlessness that confuses those around me. In Your power, I will prevail. Amen.
