Amazing Graceنموونە
All these pieces
Broken and scattered
In mercy gathered
Mended and whole
There are moments in life when we feel hopeless, broken, and perhaps even worthless. Without Christ, it might seem that our lives are defined solely by our flawed choices. Yet, for the Christian, there is eternal hope. No matter how dark life may seem or how shattered we feel, Christ’s grace is powerful enough to make us whole.
In 2 Corinthians 4:7, we are described as jars of clay—fragile, broken vessels made from dirt but filled with the treasure of God’s Spirit and all-surpassing power. Our brokenness does not deter God; instead, He came to redeem it.
Ephesians 2:8 reminds us that this all-surpassing power—this salvation—is a gift from God. It is not something we can attain through our own strength or merit. It is unmerited, unwarranted, and undeserved. Christ’s mercy reaches down, picking up the scattered pieces of our lives, and saves us from the consequences of our sins. His grace, infinite and unending, declares that we are new creations, called by God and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live lives that reflect His goodness and bring Him praise.
Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost
But now I'm found
Was blind but now I see
John Newton’s 250-year-old hymn powerfully communicates this timeless message of redemption, true for every believer: “I once was lost, but now I am found.” Having experienced this amazing grace, may we live lives that not only declare the faithfulness of God but also extend His grace to others, reflecting His love and mercy in our daily interactions.
This week, look for opportunities to share your story of redemption with someone who may be feeling broken. Let your life be a testament to God’s transformative grace.
