A Message From the Kingdom
REVELATIONS AND … MYSTERIES
MAIN IDEAS
• Jesus send this message after getting to the Kingdom of Heaven.
• Through the message of the book of Revelation, we understand that Jesus is in heaven and is focused on our eternal happiness, wishing once again to encourage us to live life in such a way that we would also get there.
• We may never know all the details regarding the end of times. Many mysteries are secret and kept by God, and they will not be revealed to us.
The book of Revelation contains some things that are easy to understand for those who are born again and enlightened by the Holy Spirit. Some are more difficult to interpret and do not directly affect our salvation. This chapter will deal with the things that are easy to understand, things that help us get closer to GOD and have a more complete understanding of the work of JESUS, beginning with His coming into this world and up to our arrival in the Heavenly Kingdom.
It seems that JESUS’ most beloved disciple, John, in the anonymity of suffering and in the solitude of exile on the island of Patmos, was the only man invited to be a witness to this. Through his beautiful description, he helped us partake in the heavenly Father’s authorizing of JESUS regarding how the future of mankind will unfold until the end. Throughout Christianity’s long history, all kinds of people tried to underline different interpretations regarding JESUS’ return or have tried to anchor themselves on certain historical circumstances and give them apocalypse-shaped interpretations. Time has proved that suppositions and speculations are not a good thing, and a common-sense Christian will know he should abstain from such things.
In the end, GOD never promised He would fully uncover everything, keeping no mystery regarding the future. If this were true, then humility and spiritual commonsense should urge us towards reservedness about interpreting the end of times. Both in the Gospels and through the message in the reading plan of Revelation, which John conveyed to the seven churches and thus, to the Universal Church as well, JESUS underlines the fact that we should preoccupy ourselves with being ready for the Day of the Lord, doing God’s will and always being awake.
This book aims to keep the simplicity and clarity of JESUS’ teachings and can help you check whether what you know about the Christian faith is following these teachings.
