Divine Preparations for Kingdom Professionals

DAY 3 OF 31

ASSIGNMENT: A TOOL OF PROPHETIC PREPARATION

God uses practical tasks to prepare us for prophetic roles, especially when preparing Daniels for their destinies. One of the key tools He employs is assignments. Never reject an assignment, as it serves as the training ground for the future God has in store for you.

Consider Saul’s father, Kish, who asked his firstborn to search for lost donkeys. Ideally, Kish wouldn’t assign such a task to his eldest son. Yet, the day before, the Lord had revealed to Samuel that He would send the future king of Israel to him. This divine revelation prompted Kish’s unusual request. Saul could have refused, but doing so would have meant missing out on God's plan for him.

Many people habitually reject assignments from rightful authorities in their lives. When a destiny-defining assignment comes, your habits will dictate your response. Some are so accustomed to lying and making excuses that they overlook the great opportunities ahead. You should pray for the ability to recognize the importance of seemingly insignificant but important duties. This is where you develop the qualities that shape your life. For instance, the spirit of excellence isn’t gained in a prayer meeting but through diligently performing everyday tasks – doing them thoroughly. Avoid the habit of shifting responsibilities and instead embrace divine assignments!

Prayer: Dear Lord, I repent of any offer of the divine assignment I have rejected in the past. In Your mercy, give me another opportunity to make necessary adjustments in Jesus’ name.
