Do Not Disturbنموونە
SUDDENLY
Throughout the Bible, we see stories where God moved SUDDENLY. In fact, the word “suddenly” appears in the Bible about 87 times depending on your translation. We see stories where men and women of God cried out to Him and He moved in unexpected ways.
The worship song ‘Suddenly’ is based around these moments in the Bible where God moved in great and mighty ways. Specifically the story of Paul and Silas.
This is one of my favourite stories in the Bible. Two men. One prison cell. One encounter with God that changed EVERYTHING. Paul and Silas were put in prison for furthering the message of Jesus. They had every reason to complain, to give up, and to blame God for their circumstances. What challenges me is that they CHOSE to worship God despite all of this. All it took was one moment in His presence and the chains became loose and the prison doors flung open. What a miracle!
There have been moments in my life personally where I have felt defeated by the things life has thrown at me. There was a season of my life when I was gripped by fear and worry. I remember one day, I was desperate for God to move, so I closed my bedroom door, got my headphones, and put on some worship. I began to worship God and cry out to Him. As I was worshipping I began to feel the atmosphere in the room shift and I had an encounter with God that I will never forget.
Have you ever felt like there are walls surrounding you? Have you ever felt like chains are binding you? Maybe these chains are fear, worry, anxiety. Maybe the walls are those of depression or sickness.
All it takes is one moment in His presence. All it takes is one mention of His name for everything to change. God wants to move in your life. He wants to break the chains that bind you. He wants to break the walls that confine you. It is up to you to set an atmosphere of worship in your life. There is power in your worship.
I want to encourage you this week, to pray and ask God to help you. Close the bedroom door, put on worship music, and set an atmosphere of worship.
Prayer: God I thank you, that you are with me and for me. Right now I lean on your strength and presence and pray that the peace that surpasses all understanding, becomes my portion right now. Holy Spirit come. Amen.

About this Plan
Youth Alive Music has just released an EP titled "Do Not Disturb". These songs were inspired by the invitation Jesus offers in Matthew 6:6 "But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private". In a world were we are bombarded with notifications on our phones or the need to feel constantly digitally connected, we encourage you to put your phone on do not disturb, shut the door and connect with your Heavenly Father.
