Heart Checkup

DAY 4 OF 7

Rejection?

Are we feeling sad, downcast, and unable to accept a 'No' or 'rejection' we received these days? Perhaps when applying for a job, enrolling in a university, or even in romantic matters for those who are still single.

We all have experienced rejection in life, from the simplest matters to crucial aspects of our lives. But the good news is that there is no condition or situation that God cannot use to teach us something in our lives. A broken glass in His hands can become a beautiful mosaic painting, even if rice has turned into porridge, it can become a special chicken porridge.

Our part is not to continue living in denial and feeling like a loser, but to respond correctly. This is not game over; even if it seems like your world is falling apart, it isn't. There is still hope in God.

So, for those who are experiencing a 'no,' 'rejection,' or delay in life :

  • A 'no' can be God’s direction to the right place, because He knows what is best for us, though we often insist on our own desires.
  • A 'no' can also be God's protection and safeguarding for our lives.
  • A 'no' or 'not now' can be used by Him to work on our character readiness and maturity of heart first.

"If you focus on the rejection, you will continue to suffer. If you focus on the lesson, you will continue to grow."

Believe that the condition we are experiencing is not the end of everything but a life dynamic that we must face and go through with Him.
