Iron Sharpens Iron: Growing in Leadershipنموونە
THE POWER OF A GOOD REPORT
A vital question every leader should regularly ask is, "What am I saying?" What words are leaving my mouth? It's easy to become complacent in our speech, blending in with the prevailing attitudes of the world instead of aligning with the Spirit of God. We often teach that our words reveal the condition of our hearts, but how often do we, as leaders, truly examine our own words?
In passages like Numbers 13 and Luke 6, we see that words are considered "evil" when they contradict what God has already declared. As leaders, it’s crucial to be mindful of our speech and to lead by example through the words we choose to confess. This isn’t about being inauthentic but about having the courage to believe in God and His promises.
One of the most powerful practices for leaders is to invite a trusted friend to offer feedback on their words. Are you finding yourself complaining more often? Speaking negatively about situations or people? Or are you speaking life and faith into those around you?
Ask the Holy Spirit to renew your heart and mind, giving you fresh insight to speak life over those you lead. Declare in the name of Jesus that goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life. Let your words reflect the faith and hope that you carry as a leader.
