God is worthy of all praise. Delight in who He is by praising Him.

God is worthy of your praise. Not only because of what He has done for you but because of who He is. When you pray, why not start by telling God how much you love Him? Has He been good to you? Praise Him for His beautiful character and for that love.

Today, I want to share about a time of worship and prayer that changed my life. After many years of rejecting God, I finally gave my life to Him on a trip to Jamaica. In the days that followed, I was invited to extend my trip to spend some quality prayer time with my new Christian friends up in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica—beautiful. My inner dialogue? It went a little bit like this:

God, everyone else here has experienced You in this deep way, but why can’t I? I want to meet You. If You’re real, I want to know.

The longer I worshipped and cried out to the Lord inwardly, the more I wondered, “God, what is keeping me from You?”

At that moment, God opened my eyes, and He showed me…all of the garbage—all the junk in my life—the sin that was keeping me from the deep, personal relationship God wanted for me.

And I cried out. I was wailing and sobbing, “God, how could I have been such a fool? Will You please forgive me? Please take what is before me and send it away. I can’t stand it!” God’s compassionate response to all that was straight out of Scripture.

“If you confess your sin, Andrew, I will clean you out. I will take it away as far as the east is from the west. I will remember it no more."

I'd been waiting for God to reveal Himself to me. And it turns out, God was waiting for me—pursuing me and calling me all that time.

He used a time of honest worship to bring me into His presence and to change me that day. I have never been the same. I know that if you seek God out in times of prayer and worship, you will find Him.

Have you ever seen a sunset reflected on water? Just like that sparkling reflection, when you worship God, you begin to shine with His same light. Whenever you delight in Him, He's present, transforming you into His own image.

As you read today’s scriptures, think about how your life will start to look more and more like Jesus. He is with you. He is in you. And He’s lighting you up—from the inside!

Lord, transform us as we praise You for who You are. You're a Good Father. You're a loving Creator. You are the Savior of the world. Lord, we love You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
