What Is Relational Discipleship? Living the 7 Discipleship Emphasesنموونە

Focus
Focus on breathing slowly in and out, counting to three between each inhale and exhale. After a few breaths, repeat the following phrase silently as a prayer: In Jesus Christ, I belong. In Jesus Christ, all people belong.
Apply
Each of us belongs to God because Jesus died and rose. We do not have to be far off from God or from each other. We have a place in God’s Family. How might you help another person who may feel far from God experience that same belonging and acceptance in the Body of Christ this week?
Respond
God, help me to see those people in my life who need to experience Your Love and Acceptance. Help me to meet others wherever they are on their journey of faith and to see them through Your Eyes. Give me the patience and willingness to help them understand that they have a place in Your Family. Amen.

At its core, discipleship is relational, accompanying others as we follow Jesus together. Yet recent trends show that the Church has not accompanied youth in this way, with more than 1 million walking away from the Church each year. This 7-day devotional launches you toward discipleship that is radically focused on Jesus so everyone can experience the abundant life Jesus offers.
