Reading With the People of God - #5 We Believe.

DAY 21 OF 30

Memorization Challenge of the Month:

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Reading with the People of God Primer:

Today's readings invite us to explore the theme of heartfelt devotion to God. They remind us of the importance of seeking God's guidance, remaining steadfast in our commitment, and embracing the transformative power of faith.

As you prepare to read, consider how your relationship with God can be deepened through sincere prayer and reliance on His direction. Reflect on how you can live out your commitment to Him more fully, integrating His commands into every aspect of your life. Embrace the call to share the message of His salvation with others, acknowledging that true faith is both personal and outwardly expressed.

Let these reflections inspire a deeper devotion and a more authentic walk with God.

Guiding Questions:

  1. How can you seek God’s guidance more earnestly in your daily life?
  2. In what ways can you demonstrate a stronger commitment to living out His commands?
  3. How are you sharing the message of faith with those around you?

About this Plan

Reading With the People of God - #5 We Believe.

This is the fifth part of a reading plan through the Bible, following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, each day this month will feature a memorization challenge for the Apostles' Creed, and there will be brief devotionals from different people in our Church scattered throughout the plan.
