“God Is Faithful”
As I look to the future, I am excited to see where my creativity will grow. I have big ideas, such as building a community center for arts. It feels like a huge mountain to climb, but I never want to stop dreaming with God. I never want to lose the wonder of creating, inventing, and innovating together.
The joy that I have found in walking hand in hand with God as I use my creativity, has truly changed my life. Whether it be through a whisper from God, a closed door, something I listen to, or a loved one’s words or actions, I’m determined to follow the big and small ways that He’ll lead me. I’m trusting that whatever adventure lies ahead, it will be more fulfilling than I can expect.
Take a moment to look back over your life, not at your shortcomings, but at where you saw God show up. What have you walked through to get there? What ways have you seen opportunities or connections come through to show you that God has taken thought for you?
Now take a moment to look toward the future. What new ideas are brewing within your heart? What freedoms do you feel in your creativity? What lessons learned are helping to propel you forward?
Your gifts of creativity may not seem like much in your hands, but with God’s plan they can bring healing, hope, and love to others. Stay willing and open to the journey. Trace His hand within each step and watch as what He’s placed within you gets developed and shows up in extraordinary ways. Remember His faithfulness, trust His resume, and look forward to your future with hope.
In yesterday’s devotional we saw that we were “created in Christ Jesus to do good works” (Ephesians 2:10). With Philippians 1:6 we find the assurance of where this plan is headed: “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Conclude our devotional journey together with this prayer: “Lord, help me to look back from where I’ve come and see Your hand of faithfulness. Illuminate the ways in which You have been ever present. As I continue to walk forward in faith, help me to stay confident in You. Amen.”
