Taming the Tongueنموونە

Can you remember a time when someone’s gentle words calmed a difficult situation? For me it came in the middle of a phone call, I felt like I was being disrespected and began to raise my voice and push back in conversation. Suddenly the voice on the other end of the line became calm, kind, and steady. My co-conversationalist apologized for offending and expressed how only the best for me was intended. It struck me at that moment that I was wrong and that I needed to change my attitude. It was a soft answer that was spoken just at the right time. How can you apply that wisdom in your interactions with others?
