Be Still
"Be still before Him."
Maybe that's the only thing you need to hear today. "Be still before Him."
When I asked God what He wants to say to you through me this week, my eyes fell on this small, yet so significant verse: “The Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth be silent before him.” (Habakkuk 2:20 NIV)
Once you read through what this verse is about, it doesn't seem to fit in where it is. Habakkuk is complaining about the injustice in the world, about the fact that people don't want to have anything to do with God anymore and also about the fact that God seems silent...
And in the midst of the turmoil in his life and the silence of God, Habakkuk says, "Be still." When everything in life is in turmoil and God is silent too, it makes you want to shout out loud, "Where are You?”
Do you know what "silent" means? It is, essentially, to be free from noise. That's logical. Or, not to make any noise.Including no panic shouting: "Where are You?" And even
without moving.Can you do that?
So what is your current prayer request? Or rather, I hope you've already made a prayer request out of your current problem and are not trying to work it out yourself, without involving God.
Because this is exactly where God wants to lead you today. To Himself. To where your problem gets a solution without YOU trying to solve it. There, where your sadness is transformed into new joy, without you trying to make that happen. There, where in your hopeless situation suddenly an unexpected door opens, without you pushing it open yourself.
If you simply remain still, He will meet your need!
God wants to work it out for you. You are to just stay STILL in faith and prayer before Him today!
You are a miracle!

About this Plan
This week we want to deal with the Old Testament prophet Habakkuk. Not that much is known about him, but one thing is certain: He was faithful in the waiting times. Are you in a time of waiting? Perhaps you too need some encouragement from Habbakuk!
