What Matters Most (The Book of 2 Timothy)نموونە

It’s A Wonderful Life. You know I’m not just saying that, but that’s the title of the well-loved classic film. George Bailey wishes he had never been born when his life seems to hit rock bottom. An angel is sent to earth to save his life and George is shown what an impact he’s had in the lives of others. The movie ends with a sweet note from the angel, “Dear George, remember no man is a failure who has friends. Thanks for the wings. Love, Clarence.” While I really love this movie and its message, the truth is that we’ve all had friends who let us down. People will fail you because they are human and make mistakes. But there is One who will never fail you. God created you, loves you no matter what you’ve done, and is always there for you.
Paul expresses his disappointment in people in this section of his letter to Timothy. He warns Timothy of certain evil people of whom to be aware and names those who were unfaithful to him. He strongly emphasizes that while people deserted him, God was his strength through all he endured.
Hope in others= Disappointed
Hope in myself= Devastated
