How to Share the Gospel

DAY 4 OF 4

The Final Question: Do I want to live with Jesus?

❓[question mark] Do I want to live with Jesus? "Because Jesus is the only way to God and forgiveness is already possible, everyone is faced with the decision to accept it. Do you also want to have this connection to God?"

Note: If you were able to explain the gospel in your conversation, now is the perfect opportunity to invite someone to accept Jesus.

The Prayer to accept Jesus

Believing in Jesus is a decision, and the first step can be a simple prayer. Offer the person to pray with you and ask them to repeat it wholeheartedly, inviting Jesus into their life.

"Jesus, thank you for loving me. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I believe you are the Son of God. Please forgive me for living without you until now! Come into my life now. From now on, I want to live for you, until the end."

Tip: Regular breaks (...) help your counterpart to repeat the individual sentences in the prayer.

What if the answer is 'no'?

Not everyone is immediately ready to accept Jesus. If your counterpart says 'No', you don't need to feel rejected. Instead, find a positive conclusion to your conversation. Bless the person with a prayer. Pray for the realization that Jesus is the Son of God, and speak good words that come to mind for the person, as well as impulses that God gives you. Then say goodbye to them.

Here's an example: "I would like to bless you in conclusion: Jesus, I thank you for loving (Name) so much that you gave everything for him/her to restore the relationship with God. I pray that God's Spirit leads (Name) into all truth and (Name) can recognize that Jesus is the way of life ..."
