Made for More: Finding Greater Purpose Through Scripture's Well-Known Personalitiesنموونە

The first thing we learn about Esther in scripture is that she was Jewish, the adopted daughter of a famous Israelite named Mordecai. The next thing we learn about her is that she was beautiful.
One of these things was obvious about her—in fact, her beauty was so noticeable that she outshone all the other women brought before the king and became his queen.
The other thing was something she kept hidden. She didn’t want anyone to know about her heritage since the Jews were an oppressed people at the time.
But Esther was made uniquely and was put into her position so that one of her attributes could make way for the other. Her beauty would give her an audience with the king, while her Jewish heritage would give her the ability to foil an evil plot to kill everyone who shared it with her.
She was undoubtedly made for more.
Because we can see from the scripture that Esther wasn’t JUST her beauty or her heritage. She was also clever, crafty, brave, trustworthy, wise, and a whole list of other things.
God made her the way He made her so that she could do more, accomplish what He had for her, and etch her name not just into the history books but also into this sacred text.
What “more” do you have? What kinds of your “more” don’t get talked about or aren’t just floating on the surface for everyone to notice? What other kinds of “more” did God give you, and how does He want you to use them for his glory?
