Trusting God Through the Painنموونە
He is with you in the waiting.
Have you ever had to trust that God is with you even in the moments where you are waiting for something? Has it ever felt like His plan and purpose are just too far out of reach?
When we are praying or waiting for something, it’s easy to try to take control instead of seeking God’s guidance and trusting His plan. But that only leads to frustration.
The Bible says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight” (Prov. 3:5–6). He is so faithful to guide us so we end up where He wants us to be.
One of the greatest faith lessons I have learned is to let go of my personal plans and agendas, and embrace those of our heavenly Father. It has been a constant lesson in trust. If you have ever had to wait for God to answer a prayer, you can probably relate.
And the LORD answered me: Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but it speaks of the end, and does not lie. If it delays, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay. -Habakkuk 2:2-3
If God gives a vision of something, He is faithful to his promises: He simply asks that we trust Him and rely on the fact that He is with us always, at all times.
Surrendering our lives to the Lord and taking steps to change the way we were living, gives God the freedom and room to work in us. If we want to see God transform our lives in any way—whether the issue is with our marriage, children, family, or career—prayer cannot be our last resort; it must be our first response.
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. – Psalm 20:7
