At the Feet of Jesusنموونە
When you go to buy some fruit or meat, the first thing you do is to inspect the various options and choose the best of all; no one wants to make a bad decision at the time of choosing, as it could bring some health problems. That is what Mary did: She analyzed all the things she could do (cleaning, cooking, asking questions, etc.) and made the decision that would bring her spiritual health. Jesus said she had «chosen the good part».
Martha was waiting for Jesus to admonish Mary saying, "Hey, it is not right for you to leave your sister burdened with chores and responsibilities; go and help her". Perhaps Mary thought she had made a mistake and that Jesus would order her to go and support her sister. However, in a matter of seconds, Mary realized that Jesus never accused her or pushed her away. On the contrary, Jesus endorsed her confidence by coming and sitting by her feet. The good part that Mary had chosen «shall not be taken away from her»; that is Jesus' defensive phrase on Mary's behalf. It is as if he had said: "I will not remove Mary from my feet, because she has chosen this part; I will not move her from this place".
Mary approached him who sits on the throne of grace and, as a result, received help and defense the instant her sister brought accusation against her. Jesus will never remove from his presence those who in humility, reverence and with a ready ear to listen approach his divine feet.

About this Plan
Jesus, when speaking about the work of Mary of Bethany, said that «wherever the gospel is preached in the entire world, what this woman has done will also be told in memory of her» (Mark 14:9). Therefore, Mary of Bethany is a character worthy of study and imitation, because she shows us the fruits of sitting at the feet of our Lord and Savior: Jesus.
