A Hero Will Rise
What if your separation, divorce, relationship breakdown, unemployment, financial disaster, affair, battle with cancer, addiction, abortion, all the meltdowns and mistakes in your life don’t limit you at all, but in fact uniquely qualify you to bring the kingdom difference that only you can bring? God says that he uses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise (1 Corinthians 1:27), that his strength is demonstrated in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:7-10).
Religion tries to convince us that our place is on the end of the bench. Jesus says, “Get in there. I have no bench. I need you in the game.” We have to learn to say goodbye to and to kill the limitations that religion has placed on us.
I want to leave you with this. I have seen and experienced it in my own life and in the lives of thousands of others now. It is true. If it is true for me, it is true for you. There is no limit to what Jesus can do for you, in you, and through you.
What unique kingdom mischief is God calling you up and into? Let’s lock arms and do this! There is no limit to what God can do through us! Let’s become the dangerous militia that he created us to be.
Stay in your story, continue to experience the rescue of Jesus, and look ahead to what else he has for you. Let’s finish our devotional journey with this:
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21)
More than we could ever ask or possibly imagine! Are you kidding me? What are we waiting for?
