What Jesus Said About the Meaning of Life and a Christian Worldviewنموونە
The meaning of life: Who will deliver me from my sin?
In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace (Ephesians 1:7).
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29).
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).
Who will save me from my sin, brokenness, lostness, and pain? Who will be able to deliver me from myself?
So we created for us our own religions: “If I can do enough good deeds, they will cancel out all my bad deeds.” But deep inside us, we know that our best works cannot nullify the things that we did wrong.
C.S. Lewis said: “Once people stop believing in God, the problem is not that they will believe in nothing; rather, the problem is that they will believe anything.” It is amazing to see what people will believe as long as they do not have to believe the Bible.
The Bible says salvation, to be delivered from our sins, can only be found in someone else paying the penalty for our sins—such a Person we only find in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God’s answer to our sin problem. Christianity is the only religion that says we cannot save ourselves.
