Eternal Work in the Remote Workplaceنموونە
Day 1 – Being Salt and Light
The alarm goes off and work starts in 20 minutes; the coffee is preset to brew, and pajamas are a fine attire; the commute is 15 feet to the left, and the office doubles as a bedroom. Welcome to the remote workplace. And while an increasing number of people have joined the ranks of work from home employees, for the Christian this presents an interesting challenge—how can we be salt and light in the workplace if we don’t leave the house? You may be the only one on your company’s team who knows the Lord. Can you make Microsoft Teams calls and instant messages more personal? Can you go the extra mile to connect with your colleagues over personal matters—inquiring about their weekend plans (and then following up on Monday), asking about their children (and then noting the details for future discussions), and trying to find little ways to show you value learning about their passions, interests, and home life. Finding the time to create a forum for small talk or sending a quick message of encouragement can open the door to deeper conversations about Jesus.
Application: What is one practical thing you can do this week to connect with your colleagues in a meaningful way?

About this Plan
How can we work to glorify God in the remote workplace? How can we be salt and light if we don't leave the house? How can we win our coworkers to the Lord if we are never face-to-face? Be encouraged in the next four days that your Gospel-centered mission remains the same even if your physical presence changes.
