Third Circle: The Good News - God's plan to save us
Our sins separated us from God, but He loves us and wants us to be reconciled to Him. He wants to be our Father. He still loves us and wants us to experience His goodness and care. At the same time, He is also holy and righteous, making it impossible for Him to allow us into His presence and heaven.
However, He made a plan because of His great love for us. He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place so that He would not have to punish us. Jesus died on the cross and paid the penalty for our sins with his blood. He died in our place.
How can this relationship between God and us be restored? We must come to Jesus, turn from our rebellious and sinful ways, confess our sins, and ask Him to cleanse us with His blood. We must believe that Jesus is Lord and Saviour. We were supposed to die for our sins and rebellion, but Jesus paid the penalty by dying in our place.

If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12).
When we turn from our sins, repent and believe that Jesus died for us, accept His sacrifice, and ask Him to be our Lord and Saviour, He reconciles us with the Father.
To receive forgiveness of sins is a gift. We do not have to work for it because Jesus already paid the price. The gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23b).
