Strength for They Who Have None

DAY 1 OF 4

I began this devotional as a sermon which I shared with our congregation the Sunday before I sat down to write this devotional. I found myself, at one point, burdened for a while and subjected to a debilitating physical attack from which I could not escape. Furthermore, I confess that I almost stayed at home and sent my wife to preach. But it seems that God had other plans. And despite the discomfort, body and head pain, and the lack of sleep due to this attack, I got up, prepared myself, and drove to church, anticipating that, until the last moment, God would do something miraculous and, at the moment that I had to share the message, I would feel better and all pain would disappear.

Unfortunately, this was not the case. As time went by, and the time of the Word approached, I began to realize that perhaps God had intended (in his divine plans) for me to preach through the pain and physical weakness that I felt. It was one of the first things I shared when introducing the message.

I share this so that you understand that there are times in life when we can ask God to FEEL adequate, strong, educated, and qualified to do any task that he demands of us. But on many occasions, His response will be silence, simply to test our faith. What attacked me was a stomach virus, which lasted approximately 5 to 7 days. It took me a day and a half! After the message, I felt better, but not completely. But by evening, I felt like I was getting better, and by the next day, I was completely better. To God be the glory!

That being said, what I am about to share with you comes from a personal place and a real experience. I want to be able to express to you what I felt and experienced, but at the same time, share what God revealed to me in spirit and truth about this famous scripture. So get ready for kingdom addition and multiplication. I declare that as you read, you will feel a renewal of strength in Christ Jesus.

About this Plan

Strength for They Who Have None

This plan was created for those who find themselves in times of weakness. Whether physically, mentally, or spiritually, there come times in our lives where logic tells us "what's next" and all we want to do is give up and throw in the towel. But we have a powerful promise in Scripture for these moments.
